MenuHUD Terms
Since MenuHUD 1.7.0 the app offers no Supporter License purchase and makes no commerce request. The Supporter License, payment, and refund sections below apply to purchases made in earlier versions; a license already issued stays valid.

The app is free
MenuHUD is a free download with every feature included. There is no account, no trial, and no feature that unlocks with payment. The app is code-signed and notarized, and updates are offered through the built-in update check described in the privacy policy.
Supporter Licenses
Versions before 1.7.0 offered an optional one-time purchase at US $10, US $15, or US $25. Each amount delivers the same Supporter License. Every MenuHUD feature stays free. A license changes exactly two things: the occasional in-app invitation to support MenuHUD stops appearing, and the app's Support Page shows its gratitude.
A Supporter License is for your personal use on every Mac where you use MenuHUD and verifies entirely on your Mac without a network call. Please don't publish your license key.
Payments
A purchase started from the app's Support Page opens Paddle Hosted Checkout in your browser. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record, handling payment, applicable tax, receipts, customer service inquiries, and returns. The final price is shown before payment and may be converted to your local currency.
Checkout creation sends only your selected Tip Tier to MenuHUD's isolated Live commerce origin. Bounded automatic claim checks use the random claim token created for that saved checkout to retrieve the signed license after Paddle confirms payment. Transaction recovery starts only when you submit the unguessable Paddle transaction ID from your receipt, and purchase-email recovery starts only when you request it. The privacy policy describes these requests and their retention boundaries.
Refunds
You can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked — and your Supporter License will keep working. Read the refund policy for the request paths.
The software
MenuHUD is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It is a menu bar utility that displays information about your Mac; readings it cannot trust are shown as a dash rather than a guess, but no reading is guaranteed to be accurate, and Justin Yan is not liable for decisions made from what the app displays. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law grants you and that cannot be waived.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, the change and its date will be noted on this page.
